DTF Consumables: Ink & Film Essentials for High-Quality Printing

1. DTF Ink

Direct-to-Film (DTF) ink is a specially formulated pigment-based ink designed for vibrant, long-lasting prints on various fabrics, including cotton, polyester, and blends. DTF inks are known for their excellent color vibrancy, smooth flow through printheads, and strong adhesion to PET films.

Key Features:

High Color Density: Produces vivid, accurate colors for both light and dark fabrics.

Flexible & Durable: Maintains flexibility after transfer, ensuring prints do not crack or peel.

Wash Resistance: Superior washability even after multiple cycles.

White Ink Formulation: Strong opacity and coverage for dark fabric applications.

2. DTF Film

DTF film, also known as PET transfer film, is a coated carrier sheet used to receive printed ink before heat pressing onto the fabric. It plays a crucial role in ensuring precise ink absorption and smooth release during the transfer process.

Types of DTF Film:

Cold Peel Film: Requires the film to cool down before peeling, resulting in a matte finish and stronger adhesion.

Hot Peel Film: Allows peeling while still warm, speeding up production with a semi-gloss or matte finish.

Key Features:

Anti-static & Anti-curl: Ensures smooth feeding through printers and flat transfers during heat pressing.

High Ink Absorption: Promotes detailed prints with minimal bleeding or smudging.

Consistent Release Layer: Enables easy transfer with clean edges and no residue.

Usage Recommendation: For optimal performance, use high-quality DTF inks and film from trusted suppliers. Pair with compatible hotmelt powder and curing equipment to ensure durable, professional-grade finishes.
